Hospital Objective
The objective of Royal Oaks Hospital is to assess and place individuals in a safe, least-restrictive and most cost-effective environment appropriate for their needs and acuity. Program components are flexible, and as an individual’s progress changes, transition may be made from one level of care to the next. Individuals will complete a multi-structured assessment phase that includes:
- medical examination
- laboratory work
- psychiatric evaluation
- psychological testing
- psycho-social history and evaluation
Using the data gathered, the treatment team develops and implements an individualized treatment plan to address the patient’s needs. Whenever possible, family participation is encouraged, and weekly family education programs are available.
